I think Rocky III is awesome. It has a great cast including Mr. T. and Hulk Hogan. It also had the first appearance of "Eye of the Tiger" a truly era defining song. BUT all of that is peanuts compared to the amazingly hilarious training montage. This basically shows Carl Weathers and Rocky working out together in the gym and ends with them both running into the waves on the beach. They are wearing little belly shirts and short shorts and start laughing and splashing one another! it is one of the greatest homosexual scenes ever filmed. It rules! Nothing in Rocky IV even comes close to how good this is. Also, Mr. T. makes a great bad guy. Clubber Lang would kick Ivan Drago's ass any day!! |

There is no doubt in my mind that Rocky IV is the best Rocky movie of all time. The death of Apollo Creed, Stallone standing up for Reagan America in his quest to hammer the Evil Empire's steroided up UberMan Drago. You don't for a second actually believe that Stallone could K.O. Lundgren but who cares?! It was great to watch them whale away at one another in Russia like that, surrounded by 10,000 Red Guards, a Gorby lookalike and Brigette Neilson there. James Brown also brought a tear to my eye with his epic performance in tribute to America. |

dude, is this a serious argument, Rocky IV is more than just a movie, its about America vs. Russia, ranking it right up there with Miracle...come on! Rocky III licks the sweat of dulfs ball sacks.

Rocky IV is THE BEST Rocky movie for two important reasons. First, we can't forget that Ricky single-handedly brought an end to the Cold-War by defeating Drago (despite the fact he was juiced big time), and then poetically claiming, "If i can change, you can change, we all can change!" Second, we all love Rocky movies most for their training scenes. Lets be serious here, Rocky's old-school training in Russia is perhaps the most intense and inspiring scenes in an movie i've come across.
