The buffalo would absolutely win because, while the gorilla is smart and could do some surface damage to the buffalo's thick hide, it lacks the capacity to deliver the final destroying blow. The buffalo, however, merely needs to gouge the weak gorilla with one of its horns and that gorilla is a goner. Also, buffaloes weight about 5x as much as a gorilla! They can weigh up to 2500 lbs, while gorillas rarely weigh over 500 lbs. Even Gorilla Einstein couldn't handle that. Also, I should have, but forgot to specify that there are to be no tools allowed. So I'll give you the tree branch. |

The buffalo has little to no endurance. It is used to slow, long walks. It also has little to no lateral movement. On top of this, it is stupid. Gorillas are extremely smart, have excellent lateral movement, agility, jumping ability, opposable thumbs, and are much stronger than you are giving them credit for. The Gorilla has many ways of delivering a final blow. To name a few: 1. Gouging out the buffalo's eyes 2. Waiting until the buffalo is tired 3. Breaking one of the Buffalo's legs and letting it bleed to death 4. Breaking off a tree branch and using it to stab the Buffalo repeatedly, until it dies. 5. Tripping the buffalo up and then using its teeth, or strong opposable thumbs, to attack and rip apart the buffalo's underbelly and other soft parts. There are many more, less plausible scenarios. If the gorilla avoids the buffalo's horns, theres no way for it to lose. And it really shouldnt be that hard. I mean, Buffalo are stupid and gorilla is smart!!! |

I ate a buffalo burger the other day. I do not recall every having eaten a gorilla patty, because gorillas are too agile and smart to be made into processed meat.
Therefore, gorilla will OBVIOUSLY win. This is like asking "What will win, a gorilla, or a slice of pastrami?"

buffaloes can run up to 35 mph. the gorilla's toast.
