So I've had this pet peeve for a long time, I can't stand (no pun intended) when people stand on escalators. It's just another example of laziness. Escalators aren't rides, they're meant to expedite your travel, not become your MEANS of travel. tourists are the worst with this I have found. But in general, we're all probably guilty of standing on escalators, but at least make some attempt to keep moving in some manner. The WORST, WORST, WORST is when people take up the whole escalator and don't allow other people to get by. GET MOVING!! if you can't tell by now, i'm heated about this. |

Relax and enjoy your life! To worry about someone not walking up the escalator is a waste of energy. Some of us use that opportunity to reflect on life and have Zen moments. Granted, I think standing in the middle of the thing is a little inconsiderate, but, so are so many other things. If the "laziness" is an issue, why are you on the escalator and not running the stairs. It is a means to an end and isn't meant to be an exercise machine. So RELAX, get in touch with your chi and have a Zen moment on the moving staircase. Or you could just walk up the stairs and be bothered by the people walking on the wrong side of the staircase! |

lol i dont really care for what people do on the escalators. I just really stand and wait.
