WILLIE RANDOLPH MUST GO

Someone needs to be held accountable for the Mets' poor play all season. That person is Willie Randolph.

This man has been sabotaging our chances to win all season. For the first 80 games or so, all he did was pinch-hit the ancient Julio Franco in big spots, who would promptly ground to short or strikeout. EVERY TIME. Luckily Omar Minaya stepped in and saved the day by cutting Franco from the team, thereby preventing Willie from doing even more damage.

Then there's the whole Mota issue. Why in the world does Willie bring this man into every big game. When Mota comes in, every fan knows the game is about to be lost. Even Glavine's wife knew this, as you could tell by her expression every time Willie brought Mota in the game to try to hold onto Tom's 300th win. She was proved right when Mota promptly blew the first two games. Why, Willie, do you keep going to this man? WHY?? Obviously he's nothing without the steroids.

Willie can't even get production from people who always produce. Look at Delgado. A monster everywhere he's been. Now, under Willie, he can't even buy a hit. Shoeneweis was awesome in Anaheim. Now, under the Willie regime, he is practically in Mota territory. The list goes on and on. Green, LoDuca, even Reyes now. Clearly Willie is to blame. I wonder if he is still on the Yankees payroll.

In sum, any success the Mets have had to this point is pure luck. They won't be able to do anything in the post-season unless they fire Willie immediately. Look what happened last year. Mota blowing games. Floyd being asked to hit a home rum when EVERYONE IN THE STADIUM knew that someone should have been bunting there, INCLUDING FLOYD.

Man up, Omar. Fire Willie now.

> Willie is to blame for everything, is he not?
By this logic, he is to blame for every victory,
as well as every loss.
By this logic, he has performed better than every
manager in his league.
Is this the case?
No.
So you're logic is wrong.

Willie was not a "Franco" guy. He didn't like
Franco. Minaya liked Franco.
If you paid any attention to this team you would
know that Minaya has just
as much pull as Willie.
The team is 7 games on top of the division,
trumping the Braves by even more than that.
Why shouldn't Wilile challenge Mota in a spot like
last night to see if he could get the job done?
Obviously you know very little about baseball,
because mota pitched extremely well to Francouer.
He also did a very nice job in keeping the game
tied. Remember, it was not Mota who loaded up the
bases. It was Heilman and Feliciano. But they're
not to blame...not at all.
The failures of Show is Willie's fault?
Relief is perhaps the most volatile position out
there. You cannot blame Willie for a RP's
failures. That's absurd.Green? LoDuca? Reyes?
Do you watch baseball?
Do you understand it's a serious of advances and
retreats that make up this game?
Do you realize good baseball players fail 70%
percent of the time?
Do you realize in his last 12 starts, green has a
avg, of 380?
LoDuca has 12 RBI in his last 13 games...or
something like that.
And i'm not even going to humor your comment
regarding Jose.

I can continue this for pages. I'll stop here and
let you stage a pathetic rebuttal.

You want evidence??? Phillies 3, Mets 2. Phillies 5, Mets 3. Phillies 10, Mets 6. Nationals 12, Mets 4. NATIONALS 12 METS 4!!!! HOW'S THAT FOR F'IN EVIDENCE!!!

THIS TEAM IS A DISGRACE AND WILLIE SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY. The man can't even make a damn double switch after 2 years in the National League. What a joke.

Big game, tired bullpen, what do you do?? Start Brain F'in Lawrence! OF COURSE!! The man can't get past the 5th and everyone knows it. And don't say El Duque's hurt. You start Maine tonite, Pelfrey tomorrow and Glavine Wednesday all on normal rest. The obvious choice. BUT WILLIE HAS TO BE CUTE. ENOUGH!!!!! GET RID OF THIS MAN!

Oh and you won't even comment on Reyes?? Mind telling me where he's been for the past TWO MONTHS?? This team is a joke and will miss the playoffs.
