After the newness wears off in a relationship, some people forget about doing the sentimental things like cards and gifts but that doesn't mean they don't care. My ex of 7 years didn't get me a card one year and a friend of mine did. I had a fit and let him have it about not taking the time out to get me anything when someone else did. He apologized but I still held it against him. I realized that he loved me eventhough he didn't think the way I thought he should and be considerate of my feelings. We stayed together anyway but broke up later not because he wanted to but because I wanted too. The card didn't have anything to do with the break up. |

A matter of fact is, as a man I can share this, that a man who can afford to get a present for his girlfriend when they have anniversary, and he really loves her, he will do so. Its those little things you do at the beginning when you still want to impress, make the girl fall in love... or when youre afraid you might lose her. Its when a man doesnt care anymore, that he starts falling back on the gifts and romanticism. Sometimes men give gifts to spice up the sex life, but thats about it. So the bottomline is... act like youre leaving and that you have options. Youll have that man writing you a card every day. If he really loves you that is. Otherwise youll be confronted with a break up that would have anyway.

did he give you a card for year 1 and year 2? If so then its weird that he didnt, otherwise dont worry about it.
