My and my GF of 6 years broke up and I took my ring back and now she is complaining that I should take care of her like pay for 6 months of HER rent . Not my fault she never worked and saved up and when we broke up it is no longer my responsibiliy to support her. We broke up a month ago and she just continues to go out and party and NOT working. My question is if you and an ex break up is there still reason to support the other ? Am I obligated in any way shape or form to continue to dish out money on her so she can continue living a better life that she had with me ? |

For me, if u've promised her -before u guys broke up- about the rent.. U should still pay it. BUT, if there's no term (any promisses) i think u should stop. Couse its gonna be a bad habit. First u pay the rent, then she'll ask u more and more... and its never gonna stop.. So, why bother urself for something u're not even attached to it?? Rite? If oneday u had another GF, it'll destroy ur relationship with her.. So, better stop it while u still can stop it. |

Are you living together? Because then breaking the lease and moving might cost more than just finishing out the lease. Im surprised she gave the ring back - but If you broke up with her, legally she has a right to keep it! She sounds like a loser - and by you supporting her, you are also a loser.
