I want to adopt a puppy dog from a shelter, but my wife claims that she is scared of dogs. consequently, she told me that I can't get the dog. All I want is a friendly dog for me, and I am willing to keep the dog in the crate when I leave for work. Why shouldn't I get my dog? |

While it's fair that you want a pet, you really shouldn't get a dog. Your wife is frightened of them, so it wouldn't be fair on her, plus it could cause problems in the marriage, Also, you stated that you would "keep the dog in the crate" when going to work. That would be cruel to the animal. Dogs are ment to run around and play, locking it in a crate for hours at a time is terrible. It sounds like you want a toy that you can turn off when you're not using it not a living, breathing pet. Please reconsider getting a dog, maybe get something small, like a hamster, instead. |
