Not even a comparison. John is in a different, and much higher category than Paul. Without even talking about the pure lameness of Paul, Johns music ability and track record far surpass that of Paul. Above everything else he is just cooler, heck he's the bloody walrus! |

I am a huge beatle fan, but I get upset when Paul McCartney doesn't the recognition that he deserves. John Lennon is often made out to be this god for reasons that are unknown to me. Yes, John Lennon was an amazing musician, but I feel that we have built up to a status that he does not necessarily deserve. Lets take a look at why Paul matches AND surpasses John. To start if we take a look at the best beatles song it has to be Yesterday, written by Paul. Furthermore, Paul has had his fair share of lady troubles, but I think we can agree that Yoko Ono is the worst thing that ever happened to the beatles. Beyond that the music put out by Paul (in fact still being put out) after the beatles with wings and on solo albums is much better than those completed by John. Take a look at the evidence below and see if you agree with me. VOTE FOR PAUL! |

Got to go with shopgirl here. those who believe john was legendary and paul was a talentless stand in, has no knowledge what so ever of the beatles. these 2 were great together. for quite some time john got lazy while paul carried this masterful group. not giving paul his credit, was was genius, is as uneducated as one can be. please go study-up before statements like this are made

I was up in the air about this until I got a copy of Mccartney II with the unreleased tracks. This album destroys anything Lennon ever recorded solo.
