Barry Sanders is undoubtedly the best running back ever to step on a football field. When he retired, he was less than 2,000 yards short of the nfl leader in yards gained, that being sweetness himself (walter payton). Playing only 10 years on the leagues worst franchise, who knows what he would've done with the 90's dallas cowboys!? The man is simply the best runner ever and i challenge you to say other wise. |

there is a lot to be said about a player who stops playing when he is close to beating the record that most running backs use to benchmark their own careers. Emmitt Smith, though not one of the running backs with the most highlight reels is a true competitor who toughed out the years and fought for every yard, unlike Barry Sanders. |

whoisright, how about some support for your argument, i agree smith is nasty, but those clips of sanders cuttin up the field makes me want to vote for him
