I consider myself somewhat of a beer connoisseur. I have dabbled in the tasting of many a fine brew. However, one beer has stuck at the number one spot on my last since the first time I picked up the lemon zest flavored ale. I am talking about Samuel Adams Summer Ale of course. And every summer I get excited as I see the bottles appear in stores and the kegs appear in bars and restaurants. I often say to my friends with a smirk on my face, "Look at that magic, you can almost get lost in there". There is something about the full flavor or the beer that has me hooked. It is not overbearring like a guinness, but is also not ultra light like a budlight. When it comes down to it I would order a Summer Ale over a Honey Brown any day! |

No true beer connoisseur would like Sam Summer Ale. Summer Ale is like the mainstream loser beer for people who claim to be into beer and claim to know a lot about it. A true beer enthusiast would look deeper into the beers out there. He would use his keen sense of taste to discover a better, fuller and more flavorfull beer. He would choose Honey Brown. Honey Brown has not only been proven to beat out Summer Ale in taste tests, but is also a wiser choice that will make other true beer connoisseurs nod there head at. When it comes to beers there are many choices, unfortunately Summer Ale is not a wise one, and Honey Brown is a Top 10 choice! |

Sam's Summer isn't really that bad, but has too much of a metallic aftertase.

While its true that Sam Summer Ale is not he most manly beer.... you just can't beat the taste. On a side note I would take a Modelo Especial over both
