It started as a simple phone conversation where my girlfriend was having body image problems and I told her she looked great and she was crazy. I thought it was over but instead she went on for an hour an a half crying (literally) and carrying on about how she was going to start dieting and working out. Keep in mind the girl has an amazing body (weighs like 120lbs at 5'7'' with a very full bust). When I tried to argue with her she told me she hated people saying she wasn't fat since she knew they were just lying. So the next day I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't want to spend another minute wasted on the phone having such a ridiculous conversation. So I decided to take her dieting suggestion seriously. To humor her. So we were ordering Mexican food and she orders a Chicken Burrito. Then I told the waiter, without sour cream and cheese (honestly thinking I was doing her a favor). Next thing I know she calls me an asshole and storms out of the restaurant. Now I am in the dog house. |

Everyone knows that telling (or implying to) your girlfiend that she is fat can only lead to disaster one way or the other. Nothing good can come of this- what did you think would happen? The real mistake here was putting up with the phone convo for an hour and a half....why not make up some excuse that you had to go or change the subject ? Bad form. You deserved the dog house. |

This is a real tough one, HelpMe was only trying to help, but on the other hand you gotta know that it can only lead to trouble when you try and "help" a girl with her weight issues, HelpMe you deserve to be in the dog house
